Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Sergio started playing acoustic guitar (violao) at the age of 8 years old. Influenced by the music of Bossa-Nova era giants such as Joao Gilberto, Tom Jobim, Carlos Lyra, Joao Donato, Marcus Valle and many more, the passion for music became part of his life. The energy, groove and Bossa swing is evidently reflected in his performance and compositions.
